Burak Yiğit Kaya is a highly enthusiastic and motivated software engineer with over 12 years of relevant experience. In his previous role as a Sr. Software Engineer at sentry sentry.io, he was the Founding Engineer of the Open Source Team, where he led and released the Sentry v10 open-source release. He also led and implemented the re-licensing of Sentry to BSL. At Facebook, where he worked as a Senior Software Engineer, Burak led the org-level on-call health efforts and reduced the noise on alerts using anomaly detection and relative outliers. He also led the in-task alert views project to provide fast and contextual metric data when an alert is triggered. Burak was also the Tech lead on Audience Network Payouts & Metrics infrastructure, where he led the implementation of end-to-end auditing pipeline for payouts. He reduced the time needed to audit and comply with publisher payouts by ~70% and led and implemented the custom payouts and deals infrastructure. Burak also worked on Yarn, where he stabilized the CI so the project can move forward fast and reliably. He led and released Yarn 1.0, which led to ~40% market share for Yarn at its peak, and significantly increased its performance. Burak holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Middle East Technical University.
